Armed with coupons (nothing excites me more than saving money), I purchased fabric and asked for the seller's address. This is when I learned she was in Canada. Not thinking much about it, I had my husband go to the post office and mail the fabric out. $31 later, I began to panic! But, what do you do at that point? The fabric was sent. I rationalized that all custom-sized sheets online were a minimum of $50 each and I couldn't even find the size I had needed there. Plus, these would be made with a fabric that I really liked. It would be worth it, I told myself. Fast-forward two weeks later and the sheets arrived in the mail. They looked great so I raced right out to the camper to put them on the mattresses... the only problem was that they were at least 6 inches too short. I honestly still can hardly talk about it because the whole thing upsets me. I never spend money wildly and I felt I had this time (for nothing in return!). Honestly, it just made me feel stupid. So, I'm not even sure how this will be resolved. I sort of needed to shelve it for the past couple of days and come back to it when it bothered me less. This also makes me more nervous about ordering curtains online in the future. There are companies that make curtains for Airstreams but the price makes my head spin 'round. I have found a family that specializes in making them, too, and it's the cheapest I've found...which still is not cheap. The design of the curtains uses a lot of clips to fit inside a track and they must be the exact size or they do not move correctly.

I'll have to really think about this big of a purchase, that's for sure. But, I'll have all of this winter to decide and save up for them. Fingers crossed!
